Joe authored many environmental laws during his Senate and Assembly terms, including The California Clean Coast Act, The Sustainable Oceans Act, The Delta Reform Act, and the state’s 33% by 2020 renewable portfolio standard. He also served as Chair of the Senate Environmental Quality Committee and routinely earned a 100% score from the California League of Conservation Voters. We’ll be digging in to talk with Joe and learn more about his strategies for building relationships and getting things done within local government.
