California often leads the nation in progressive ideas, economic innovation, and cultural creativity. Its high-tech leadership attracts entrepreneurs from around the world, and its natural beauty is unmatched. Yet, California also faces serious challenges—rising homelessness, a high cost of living, underfunded public education, and outsized political influence from big money. The growing threat of climate change, from wildfires to drought, adds urgency to our mission.
