Choices for Sustainable Living Workshop
Collaborative Discovery · Personal Reflection · Opportunity for Action
September 23, 2019 – January 20, 2020
(Every other Monday)
9:00 – 11:00 am PT / Noon – 2:00 pm ET
(Nine online sessions via Zoom video conferencing)
Purpose of the Workshop
The term “sustainability” is used so freely, it’s often difficult to understand all that it can mean. At its essence, sustainability embodies hope for a healthy, just, and bright future for us all. Choices for Sustainable Living provides participants with a powerful opportunity to explore sustainability more deeply, and learn its unique meanings from individual, societal and global perspectives.
Based on an inspiring workbook from the Northwest Earth Institute, the workshop is highly interactive for participants, and it will be led by an enthusiastic team of facilitators. You will discover new ways to make change more possible and powerful in your life, both individually and in community.
The time to complete the course material in the two weeks between each session will be 2-3 hours, more or less, depending on personal circumstances.
“I find that I think about things more—things I buy, things I eat, things I throw out. I see a much larger picture now, and I realize more than ever that I am a very important part of that picture.” — EAN Member, Portland, Oregon |
