Disinformation Research & Action Team

The mission of the Disinformation Research and Action Team is to understand and educate others about: 

• The role of disinformation in creating political and social divisions

• How disinformation works and why it is effective 

• How to discriminate between disinformation and what is true

• How to oppose disinformation

The team is now focusing primarily on social media platforms to broadcast our educational messages, with a primary focus on Instagram and YouTube. We are targeting people in the 20–35 age group, as this demographic is a critically important driver of our nation’s future direction, and it tends to be disengaged from political events. We recognize that if our posts are to be widely viewed, they need to be frequently entertaining.

Our team greatly needs new members who either enjoy

• researching current events

• tracking relevant posts in social media

• creating video scripts that are informative, funny, or eye-catching

• coming up with ideas for video scripts

• starring in videos (as you or as an avatar)
