12:00-1:30 pm PT / 3:00-4:30 pm ET
Do you often feel frustrated when you’re advocating for change with elected or appointed officials, or when you’re simply trying to have a civil conversation with a friend, family member, or colleague who disagrees with you? In this workshop you will learn skills to help you manage conflict more productively, from a global expert in negotiation and mediation, and get to practice them in real time for valuable feedback.
This special workshop will be presented online on April 17 from 12:00-1:30 pm PT / 3:00-4:30 pm ET. We urge you to attend the live event to benefit from opportunities to practice your listening and assertion skills, which will not be available on the recording. Please register by April 13 to assure your place in this invaluable training.
Our guest presenter Florrie Darwin, JD, has been teaching negotiation and mediation for 25 years, as a Lecturer on Law at the Harvard Law School, a faculty member of the Harvard Program on Negotiation, and a visiting professor at several European, Asian, and Australian universities.
In addition to her academic credentials, Florrie has facilitated workshops for professionals at various corporations—including Coca Cola, General Motors, and Johnson & Johnson—as well as lawyers from dozens of countries, physicians, Palestinian and Israeli educators, real estate professionals, and trade union leaders.
Her international experience includes creating and facilitating advanced negotiation workshops for the European Commission in Brussels, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the European Central Bank, and the United Nations. Through the international organization Seeds for Peace she has trained young Palestinians, Israelis, Indians, Pakistanis, and Americans in conflict resolution skills.
A donation of $10 or more is requested.
