Choices for Sustainable Living Workshop
Dec 6 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am PST
September 27 – December 6, 2021
(Every other Monday)
9:00 – 11:00 am PT / 12:00 – 2:00 pm ET
(Six online sessions via Zoom video conferencing)
Not for Elders only!
The term “sustainability” is used so freely, it’s difficult to understand what it can mean. Simply put, Sustainable Living is to meet the needs of all life forms equitably now and for the future. Regenerative Living builds on this model and along with ecological principles creates thriving, more complex, diverse and healthy living systems. We must do both!
The workshop is based on the inspiring workbook from ecochallenge.org (aka Northwest Earth Institute). Sessions are highly interactive for participants and will be facilitated by an enthusiastic team. You will discover new ways to make change more possible and powerful, both individually and in community and leave with a full understanding that the CHOICE IS ALWAYS YOURS.
The time to complete the course material in the two weeks between each session will be 2-3 hours, more or less. Also, please note that Choices for Sustainable Living is primarily focused on issues and events in the United States, however many are also applicable in an international context.
“The Choices we make now will impact the future of life for a 1000 years.”
–LynneTwist, Pachamama Alliance“I find that I think about things more—things I buy, things I eat, things I throw out. I see a much larger picture now, and I realize more than ever that I am a very important part of that picture.”
