Wednesday, April 1
12:00 – 2:00 pm PT / 3:00 – 5:00 pm ET
The Need. We elders care deeply about our climate, our democracy and the world our grandchildren will inherit. Many of us are looking to take action. And some of us are eager to lead.
The Opportunity. That’s why we’re offering the Elder Leadership Incubator. Drawing on the inspiration of successful “social entrepreneurs,” those who activate undervalued resources to achieve significant results, we leverage the abundant powers of elderhood to strengthen existing programs and even initiate new ventures.
The Incubator. You’ll collaborate with fellow elders over five weekly sessions under the guidance of Clint Wilkins, an elder changemaker and former associate with the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford. You’ll learn to “make a map and mind the gaps” of an issue you’d like to tackle – say climate change, food waste or childhood poverty. Then you will lay the foundation for your project through a strategic plan, establishing the foundation for the journey ahead and supported by this community of fellow elder changemakers.
To participate you’ll first need to register for this Elder Leadership Incubator Orientation, a Zoom session on April 1 at 12:00 pm PT / 3:00 pm ET. If you decide to participate in the Elder Leadership Incubator, the suggested donation to Elders Action Network is $50.
After registering, you will receive an email from Zoom (no-reply@zoom.us) with a unique link to join the event. Please check your email inbox.
