Elders for Sound Democracy – Voting Action Team

Tuesday, January 27
11:30–1:00 pm PT / 2:30–4:00 pm ET

Join us for our first meeting to plan how we can help expand voter access and boost turnout in this critical election year! The ESD Voting Action Team focuses on increasing voter participation—especially in communities that have historically faced barriers to voting.

Our work includes:

  • Identifying and promoting effective, nonpartisan actions that measurably increase voter access and turnout

  • Keeping our community of elders informed about key voting issues and meaningful opportunities to take action—both locally and nationally

  • Building and sustaining partnerships with trusted organizations that have proven success in increasing voter participation in underrepresented communities

Current and emerging projects and partnerships include:

  • Youth Voting — in partnership with The Civics Center

  • Engaging Voters of Color  — in partnership with The Center for Common Ground

  • Environmental Voting — in partnership with The Environmental Voter Project

  • School Board Engagement — launching a new initiative to recruit candidates for local school board elections

Make a real difference in as little as 10 hours a month!
