Youth Vote Action Team—How to Support School Board Members & Candidates

Join us to hear guest speaker Karin Chenoweth, founder of non-partisan Democracy and Education.

Karin will discuss how Democracy and Education provides information, training, and community for school board candidates and members – without regard to political party. The organization supports hundreds of current and former school board members, candidates, and campaign volunteers who are working together to strengthen public education and democracy nationwide.

Karin is also the author of Districts That Succeed: Breaking the Correlation Between Race, Poverty, and Achievement (Harvard Education Press, 2021).

In addition, the ESD Promote the Youth Vote Action Team will share highlights from our 2025 work—what we accomplished, what we learned, and how we are preparing for an impactful 2026.
