Election Countdown: Time to Write Postcards to Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas!
With election season beginning in earnest on Labor Day and early voting starting in many states in mid-October, now is the time to launch serious efforts to increase voter turnout by writing postcards to voters in states where they can have the greatest impact.
Andrea Miller of the Center for Common Ground will join us at this meeting to share more about the Reclaim Our Vote campaign and how we can make our postcard-writing efforts as effective as possible. Join us in supporting the Center’s campaign, which has a strong record of increasing Black voter turnout in key communities across the country.
The Center for Common Ground has selected counties in Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas where increased Black voter turnout could make a significant difference in local, state, and even national elections. This effort will help counter the effects of the Callais decision and gerrymandering in Southern states while encouraging Black voters to remain determined to cast their ballots despite the challenges they face.
In the 2024 general election, Reclaim Our Vote postcards increased Black voter turnout by 8.2% in Virginia and 3.8% in Georgia!
