Paul will share with us insights from his new book plus information on his Nexus project that offers challenges and solutions that address and prevent the climate crisis. It details what needs to be done and how to do it on all levels of agency from classroom to a CEO; including you and me.

Regeneration is a response to the urgency of the crisis, and it is the sequel to Paul’s best seller Project Drawdown as a hand-on manual of action. “Regeneration is putting life at the center of every act and decision…an orientation…looking at what we do; what we think; what we buy; and how we interact with each other, with the natural world, and with the world of goods and services”, says Paul.

Regeneration has two meanings:

It refers to regenerating life on earth, and
it refers to a new generation of humanity coming together to reverse global warming.

Ending the crisis means that by 2030 collective action by humanity will have reduced total greenhouse gas emissions by 45 to 50%; though it will not complete the challenge of global warming – that is a century-long commitment.

Paul Hawken is a renowned environmentalist, entrepreneur, author and activist who has dedicated his life to environmental sustainability and changing the relationship between business and the environment. He is one of the environmental movement’s leading voices, and a pioneering architect of corporate reform with respect to ecological practices.
