Join us for EAN’s National Gathering! It will be rich with wisdom from keynote speaker Robert Koehler, lightened with humor from “Swami Beyondananda”, and infused with inspiration by poet Drew Dellinger.
EAN’s Action Teams – Climate Action, Regenerative Living, Social Justice, Sound Democracy – will report on their 2021 action campaigns and plans going forward. Small breakout groups will link us with like-minded elders from across the nation to hear from one another and consider where our talents and interests lead us to participate.
Our Speakers:
Robert Koehler is a nationally-recognized, award-winning journalist whose essays and columns have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines. His weekly column, Common Wonders, is intensely political without being trapped in partisan politics. To discover the roots of “why,” Koehler believes that we must embrace the fundamental truth that “all things are interrelated,” which could bring us to a profound understanding of our place as elders in this complex web of life.
Steve Bhaerman (aka Swami Beyondananda) is a well-known author, humorist, and workshop leader. For the past 33 years, he has written and performed as Swami Beyondananda, the “Cosmic Comic.” Swami’s humor has been called “irreverently uplifting” and has been described as “comedy disguised as wisdom” and “wisdom disguised as comedy.”
Drew Dellinger is an internationally sought-after speaker, poet, writer, and teacher who has inspired hearts and minds around the world. He challenges us all with the poignant question posed by “our great-great grandchildren” in his poem, Hieroglyphic Stairway, “What did you do, once you knew…?” Drew is also a consultant, publisher, and founder of Planetize the Movement.
This virtual event will be a celebration and affirmation of our efforts and dedication as we work together for the future of our grandchildren and all life!
