Discover how you can help sustain the work of EAN

A letter from co-founder, John Sorensen

Dear Friends of Elders Action Network:

I’m reaching out to you today with my deepest personal gratitude. As one of the forty elders who co-founded the Elders Action Network (EAN) almost ten years ago, I am inspired by what Elders Action Network has accomplished together during the past decade. Our goal was to launch a “movement of elders activists” fueled by our sense of personal responsibility to take the actions necessary to protect current and future generations.

Today hundreds of elders are engaged in meaningful work through action teams, working groups, educational programs, an action focused book club, community discussions and local projects. We have forged together a generation of elder activists working on climate and environmental issues, democracy building, social justice, and regenerative living.

The challenges we face can feel overwhelming, and we know that we must act boldly and fearlessly before it’s too late. By striving together to be good ancestors, we can do this.

This month we are launching our Founders Campaign in honor of the tremendous work that has been accomplished to date by our longstanding volunteers – and to ensure that we have the capacity to continue this important work into the future.  I am very happy to share with you that  to date we have raised close to $20,000 towards our unifying goal of $50,000.

I hope that you will  join me,  all of our EAN board members and our volunteer leaders as we work together to achieve our  goal.  We are able to bring you exceptional programs, national speaker events, educational modules, learning opportunities, and much more through the  support of EAN participants.  Your gift today is an investment in future generations, and the elders who will follow us.

With deep admiration, and in solidarity for the future,

John Sorensen
