Coming again in April 2025:
The Spring offering of both:
- the REP Introductory Exploration and
- the Embodying Regenerative Worldviews Exploration
We are experiencing times of unprecedented peril. It is time to revisit our assumptions, rediscover the power of community, and reground our actions in our deepest authenticity. Do you have the inner resilience to meet these challenges over the next four years—and beyond?
REP Introductory Exploration
- The Regenerative Elder Process Introductory Exploration offers you an initial step in exploring what it means to be part of a community of regenerative elders engaged in longer-term inner work and transformative actions to heal their communities and Earth.
- A two- to three-hour self-paced program, the Introductory Exploration introduces you to regenerative alternatives to the dominant Western worldview and some of the essential concepts explored at length in the nine-week Exploration.
- A carefully curated assortment of texts and videos is designed to challenge your complacency and pique your curiosity.
Next Steps
- Once you have completed the self-paced portion of the REP Introductory Exploration and attended a two-hour live zoom conversation about it, you will be given time to step back and assess where you are in your own personal development and whether you want to engage in a deeper exploration of regenerative worldviews and practices.
- If you do, you will be invited to enroll in the Embodying Regenerative Worldviews Exploration, a nine-week journey that will start on April 29. You should plan to commit a total of about 40 hours to prepare for and participate in lively weekly conversations during the nine weeks.
- These two Explorations are the prerequisites for joining the Regenerative Elder Process Community, a supportive online community where you explore with other elders-in-training how to bring regenerativity into your personal relationships, family, and community.
Logistics
- If you are interested in learning more, you can enroll in the REP Introductory Exploration between March 31 and April 11, 2025.
- You will have until April 14 to complete the self-study portion of the Introductory Exploration (a time commitment of about two hours).
- You will then attend a two-hour live Zoom meeting on April 15 at 9:00 am PT. During this gathering, you will meet the other participants and have an opportunity to share with them your thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. The co-conveners also will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the Embodying Regenerative Worldviews Exploration, which will be offered weekly on Zoom from April 29 to June 24 at 9:00 to 11:00 am PT. Enrollment will be limited to about 24 participants.
Contribution
In traditional societies, elders were respected and honored as keepers of the wisdom that enabled these cultures to thrive and persevere. It was a reciprocal relationship with the village accepting the responsibility to provide for the physical needs of the elders. There have been spiritual traditions, too, in which itinerant monks brought the teachings to remote villages which fed and clothed and housed the monks. These were non-money-based societies, and reciprocity shows up differently in our modern, industrial society.
While the Exploration convener team contributes their time, Elders Action Network is responsible for salaries, space, materials, and technology expenses. An EAN member has generously contributed to cover the expense of the platform we have used for the exploration for a limited time. We encourage all participants who are able to contribute to EAN to assure the continuation of these offerings. We also hope everyone shares freely in their relationships what they have received in our Explorations.
