Bring your own ideas to share. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and engage. Eileen will give us the information and confidence needed to TAKE ACTION in our communities, online, and with the Beyond Plastics network. They hold trainings and give classes to build that confidence. This is a taste of what this organization does to help us get up and get out there to make a difference.

Beyond Plastics is a dynamic, relatively new voice on the American scene for reducing and eliminating plastic waste. They use deep policy and advocacy expertise to build a well-informed, effective movement (MOVEMENT is the key word here) seeking to achieve the institutional, economic, and societal changes needed to save our planet, and ourselves, from the plastic pollution crisis. Eileen is a long-time, tireless worker for a variety of environmental challenges to make the world a better place. She helped to write, and get passed, the plastic bag ban in her Watertown, Massachusetts hometown. Beyond Plastics is also committed to environmental justice, one of EAN’s priorities. Plastic pollution threatens the health of people everywhere, especially those whose cities host a petrochemical facility.
